Space Age Lounge Volume 3 - Love at First Flight

As hinted in a previous post, here is my latest custom made compilation! The theme for this one is jet travel in the late 60s / early 70s - which basically means lots of delicious strings, brass and soft bass lines in every form. This is the kind of music you would listen to when you jet-setted around the globe first class in a Boeing 747. For all you airline buffs out there, I have included a bit of history of Pan AM jet flight as a bonus track. The compilation clocks in at about 70 minutes, features 25 tracks and I have already tested out this compilation on some friends of mine and they love it - I hope you will too!

01. Yoshinori Sunahara - Theme from Take-Off
02. The Alan Tews Orchestra & Chorus - Let's Fly
03. Briamonte Orchestra - Rota Sul
04. Claude Bolling - Boeing 747
05. John Cacavas - Theme (from Airport 1975)

Taby Centrum 1976

This is a cut from a educational promotion film that explains some aspects on why Täby Centrum was built. The film is in Swedish and narrated by the architect of the center who explains some particulars about it. If you look closely you will see the Domus sign in the background on the second floor of the mall. Domus was one of the typical anchor type stores at Swedish malls during the 60s and 70s. Most of the Domus stores are gone today or have been renamed Coop, which is the new brand for the KF owned stores.

Täby Centrum is now the largest indoor mall in Sweden and one of the largest in Europe. It opened september 26, 1968 and had major expansions made in 1991. There are now plans to make it even bigger.

Listen to the dreamy shopping music that can be heard in the background inside the shopping center. If you like this kind of music, be sure to download my custom made compilation "Retro Shopping Volume 1 - Music to buy toasters by".

More Jet Age travel

Sorry for the long period between posts. I am busy with a few work related projects at the moment. Anyway, here are some more swank retro air travel photos. Just look at the cool interiors and colors of those Boeing 707's and 747's! That groovy stewardess in pink looks like she is from outer space or something. All you need now is some lush jet set airplane music to play in the background (hint). That's right, keep an eye open for more custom made compilations on this site very soon!
