Looking back
Happy new year! First post of 2008, let's make it a rather good one. Hope that you have truly enjoyed reading my posts about lifestyle and design adventures from another time. Not forgetting my custom compilations especially made for and released through this blog. I have received such good response and praises for all of them and that is what keeps me going. Just knowing that I can make someone happy by sharing what I like best. I know that a lot of you are anxious for me to release more compilations and rest assure, I still got some tricks up my sleeve. I am working on two new compilations, that will be digging deeper into areas not fully explored here yet. Something different, something swizzle cool. Something for everyone in the family.
If you got photos or any other material of things from the past that you will think fit the direction this blog is going in, please feel free to get in touch with me. I will mostly likely create a accessible form soon so that you can contact me easily, without me having to deal with all the spam I would get otherwise. More on that in a later post. On with the statistics. Ultra Swank has become a lot more swank through the year. Ultra Swank has grown from around 67 000 visitors in 2006 to 250 000 in 2007 - amazing!
Thank you all for your continued support and amazing comments!

This is the time for me, to say a BIG BIG thank you!!!
Your compilations are finest pieces of work. Also the artwork looks like a professional made it. Just can't believe that no back-covers exist. Your cd's just deserve it to be put in the shelf where all the others (original) cd's belong. So if you made back-covers for them please, please upload them, that would be just awesome. And if really no covers exist, maybe you can create some?
Anyway a big big thank you again, for all these wonderful compilations. :)

Thank you Lee and Tom! I am afraid there are no back-covers for the compilations for a couple of reasons. First of all I want to share my musical taste with people who have similar taste or for people to discover. I don't make any money on them and don't plan to do so either. Making back-covers would most likely make them find their way to Ebay where they will be sold by dubious users. But thank you for your inquiry.

Chris has actually inspired me to make collections for my friends for various occasions. The making of the covers each time is a lot of fun. I'm afraid my collections are a lot more pedestrian than Chris', but I have loads of fun nevertheless.

Some stuff that I could never imagine would be good, is actually very good. I never would have considered listening without your comps, e.g. the evocatively titled "Voices from a Photograph." Thank you!

I hope that "voices from a photograph vol. 2" is one of the tricks you got up your sleeve.
Anyways, everything you upload is always amazing. Thanks for sharing :)

Thank you for all your work and great research in making this far corner of forgotten American ( and European ) culture and ignored music.
I raced through your site and downloaded most everything before someone got mad and declared it illegal!
Now I'll go through again at a more leisuely pace and take in the culture. Thanks again!
