Repost - Retro Christmas

Per request, here it is again, my retro (sorry... vintage) themed holiday themed compilation! Hope you all are happy now, enjoy!

"The compilation features 25 songs, one for each day until Christmas day. The theme is as the title of the compilation suggests, mostly 50s, 60s and 70s Christmas songs. You will most likely recognize the titles, but probably not have heard them played like this (well, not all of the songs anyway). Happy holidays from Ultra Swank!"

Hey, Chris --

I just discovered your blog. Very cool stuff (I was especially pleased to see you also have an affection for The Man From U.N.C.L.E.).

Since you're heavily into lounge music, you should check out the Internet radio station martiniinthemorning.com/

You can also check out my blog at www.myspace.com/bish8

"Cheers!"

Hey, great blog! I love all the retro culture you've been spotlighting. I myself am a huge fan of the retro aesthetic. I am a painter living in Southern California and I've been focusing my work on retro suburbs. I've even managed to paint a few Eichlers. To view my work, go to www.dannyhellerart.com. Thanks for posting all the great musings and keep it up!

Hello Chris,
I was born in 1953, but I feel like I was born just a little too late. I am also attracted to mid-century style and ambiance. How I wish I could have been a housewife, ready with a martini for my hard-working husband, rather than the harried, working mom I turned out to be. Thank you so much for your blog, and the gift of this music.
Yours,
Lilly

Chris - Thanks for the fantastic compilation. I'm curious whether you did some special audio processing on it, because it sounds really good -- far better than most of the mp3 recordings I have from that era. I'd love to know your secret / encoder / enhancer, etc.

Great selection of tracks! I hope you do this again. Thanks,

Warren, no secret hehe. I use good source material, and if not's up to my standards I usually clean up the tracks manually. I.e.removing hiss, hum and what not. But I don't think I did that to any of the tracks on this compilation, I usually just do that on really old songs like the ones found on my 'Retro Shopping' series.
