This is Macy's in New York circa 1964. Here you'll find everything a swinging bachelor needs, from swank furniture to the latest music. Just look at the crowd of people outside waiting to get in, or are they just trying to get a cab during rush hour?

My name is Chris and I live in Sweden. I love the 50s and 60s lifestyle and design. I am very fascinated by the architecture of the period too, for instance googie, modernism, the work of Joseph Eichler, John Lautner and Arne Jacobsen's international style. I have a large archive with space-age, library, bossa, cocktail, retro soundtracks and exotica music. I also believe that things were better in the old days.

And there's NEDICKS! Best hotdog in town in those days. I lived near one and near an automat in those days (72nd Steet)
